Class A Character

Classing a Character

Once a character has been approved for classing, it is fairly easily done! STSET is the command you will use to set all of their stats. IE stset marcel strength 3.

  • All 2 word fields are set by combining them into 1 word. IE selfcontrol, purebreed, primalurge.
  • For the dots taken in the background 'generation' you have to set 'genbg' rather than generation. Generation is for the text form such as '11th'.
  • To set their Road the two commands are 'humanity' for their dots and 'road' for the title of their road (displays as Road of <field entered>).
  • Willpower is equal to their Courage. Road is the sum of their Self-Control & Conscience.
  • To set info (score2) use 'stset <player> info(line number) <string>'. IE stset marcel info1 <text> or stset marcel imminfo5 <text>
  • Stinfo <player> should be used for ST information, extended roles, notes, etc. To set it, there are a few ways that you can go about it: To make a Heading use "stset <player> headinga <text of heading>". You can replace the "a" after heading with b-j. To imput a line use "stset <player> a1 <text of string>". You can replace the "a" with b-j and the line will show up under whichever heading it set the same. You can replace the 1 with 2-10 to indicate which line, under which heading, to write. Use stset <player> a1" to imput a line under heading 1, line 1. The way to change this is the same as the others listed above.

Make sure that players' roomdescs and doings are set up. Also, be sure to let players know if they have any backgrounds, merits, flaws, etc. that should be set in either their Status or Aura.

BEFORE YOU SET MERITS, FLAWS, IMMNOTES, OTHERNOTES, OR CONCEPT YOU MUST TYPE SAVEALL OR IT WILL CRASH THE MUD AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR PROGRESS (NOTE: Currently you must copy over before you allow players to do roomdesc also)

(NOTE: ALL TRUE NEWBIES GET THE COMMON SENSE MERIT)
